锦纶又称尼龙，学名为polyamidefibre聚酰氨纤维，是所产聚酰胺类纤维的统称。它是世界上早的合成纤维品种，由于性能优良，原料资源丰富，一直被广泛使用。锦纶的品种很多，有锦纶6、锦纶66、锦纶11、锦纶610，其中主要的是锦纶66和锦纶6。

采用锦纶长丝或短纤维与其它纤维进行混纺或交织而获得的织物，兼具每种纤维的特点和长处。如粘/锦华达呢，采用15%的锦纶与85%的粘胶混纺成纱制得，具有经密比纬密大一倍，呢身质地厚实，坚韧耐穿的特点，缺点是弹性差，易折皱，湿强下降，穿时易下垂。还有粘/锦凡立丁、粘/锦/毛花呢等品种，都是一些常用面料。
